Not a lot of people eat turnips or know how to cook them. Actually a lot of us don’t even know what they look like for that matter!
So they are beetroots cross sweet potatoes in my opinion.
Turnips are high in vitamin C, folic acid, other B-vitamins and fibre! So to give yourself a health boost try one!
The best is to chop off the roots and stems, chop into strips or cubes and roast them with a dash of olive oil, salt and mixed herbs. Have them as a side dish, as you would roast potatoes. Or even better throw them with other roast veg and make a delish salad!
