Ingredients
- 300g brown bread flour
- 1 sachet (10g) yeast
- 200ml tepid water
- 1 tsp fine salt
- 2 tsp sugar
- extra flour for dusting
Method
- pour the flour onto a clean dry surface
- make a little well in the centre of the flour
- pour the yeast, salt and sugar and half the water into the well
- mix the well ingredients with a folk
- mix some of the flour into the well slowly
- once all the water and flour is mixed add the remaining water
- knead the dough for 5min
- Prove (leave covered in a bowl) for 30min
- once doubled in size, knock out the air (just knock the dough around a bit)
- Leave covered to prove again for 30 min
- place on a floured baking tray and bake at 180 degrees for about 30min
- The bread is done when it sounds hollow when you tap the bottom
