It can be a tough task when you want to enjoy the festive season but look after your body at the same time… I have some great tips that I use, hope they work for you.
- Golden Rule: ALL in Moderation – enjoy the Christmas cookies and delicious food (Christmas is but once a year) but all in moderation…one cookie and one helping of turkey 😉 Your stomach is still the same size it was yesterday 🙂
- Don’t forget your daily dose of healthy foods: you still need 2 fruits and 3 vegetable and healthy low fat dairy and wholegrains…so keep that the basis of your diet.
- limit alcohol – I know cocktails by the pool are tempting but don’t go overboard and always rather opt for a white wine spritzer.
- Drink lots of water
- Exercise exercise and exercise – surf, swim, walk, run, dance, do yoga
