We decided to make bean burgers, but you can use chicken, beef, ostrich, lamb etc.
Ingredients (serves 4)
- 1 onion, chopped
- +- 2 cups Kidney beans
- 1 egg
- +- 1 cup raw oats
- Chilli and garlic chopped
- Salt and pepper
- Ground Cumin and Coriander
- Big mushroom halved
- Olive or canola oil
Method
Bean Burger Patties
- Blend everything up in a food processor
- Put the mixture into the fridge to cool for 30 minutes and then shape into patties
- Fry in a teeny tiny bit of olive or canola oil on a HOT pan
For the “ROLL”
- Drizzle mushrooms with a bit of oil and grill until browned
- Top the mushroom with the bean patties. Top with Broccoli & rocket Pesto or guacamole and salad leaves, sliced tomato and a touch of chutney
