The team at Alex Royal Dietetics is at the forefront of the rapidly developing world of Nutrition.

We are a group of three nutritional experts focusing on Dietetics and Nutrigenomics (linking your genes to health and nutrition). We specialise in weight loss, health, wellness and treating chronic disease such as cancer, IBS and diabetes.

We have two offices:

Alex Royal, Registered Dietitian

Alex has a cutting-edge knowledge and genuine passion for Dietetics and Nutrigenomics. Her fresh approach in the field is motivational and has successfully encouraged clients to reach their goals at her busy Cape Town practices. She also presents at workshops around the country and has been featured on television, in magazines and online sources.

Being a sports crazed, health fanatic from Durban she moved to Cape Town to do an honours in Dietetics. After qualifying she ingrained herself in clinical patient management at Groote Schuur Hospital and developed a meal delivery business, Daily Dietitian.

She successfully specializes in genetic testing (nutrigenomics), weight management, sports nutrition, diabetes and insulin resistance, high cholesterol, IBS, thyroid dysfunction, infertility, intolerances and pregnancy nutrition.

My aim is to help you lose weight and reach your health goals quickly and easily in a sustainable way.

I do on-line dietitian consultations or you can book to see me for a dietary analysis, anthropometric measurements (weight, height, BMI, body fat percentage), diet plans, recipes, follow-ups and Vitality Nutrition Assessments.

Kirby Hendricks, Registered Dietitian

Kirby and Alex have been working together as the perfect team for the last three years. Kirby completed her community service at Groote Schuur Hospital where she worked closely with Alex.

Kirby is passionate about the field of nutrition and dietetics. She values a holistic approach, focusing on sound, high quality care and individualised nutrition education.

Kirby specialises in nutrigenomics, weight loss, sport nutrition, intolerances, gut complications, oncology, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), depression & anxiety and chronic disease management to mention a few. This experience has enabled her to focus on what she is most passionate about and that is patient care and well-being.

Kirby’s special interests and completion of her ‘Foundations in Nutrigenomics’ course enables her  to focus on DNA analysis testing to personalise nutrition by translating genetic information into practical solutions.

Kalsey Visser, Registered Dietitian

Kalsey is a foodie, sports fanatic and extremely passionate and knowledgeable Dietitian.

Kalsey has a special interest in clinical nutrition, infant and child feeding, sports nutrition and diseases of lifestyle, including weight loss. She has also completed the highly accredited Manuka Nutrigenomics course which involves gene testing and nutrition.

I am passionate about sharing this healthy-relationship with food to my clients to help them achieve their best self. If I’m not thinking about food and nutrition you will find me outside, running, hiking or exploring the beautiful city of Cape Town.
